We are enhancing the way we structure premium billing.

October 15, 2021 — We’re pleased to share some enhancements with you to the way we structure premium billing. These enhancements will increase the number of successful client enrollments.

Effective Immediately:

• The last day to get a first of the following month effective will be the last day of the month.

      • Example: The last day to get a 10/1 effective date will be 9/30

      • This will show in your portals very soon

• The latest date the first premium can be made/set for is the day prior to effective date.

      • Example: If today is 9/15 and you enroll someone for a 10/1 effective date, the first premium payment can be set for any day from 9/15 to 9/30

      • Important note: Our data shows that the LATER you set the initial premium payment date, the higher the likelihood your client will cancel their policy prior to the effective date. We believe this is due to the client not recognizing the charge as the length of time betwen enrollment date and payment date increases.

Want to ensure your client sucessfully enrolls and you receive commissions for a LONG periodof time? See these best practices:

• Use ACH instead of credit card for the premium payment method.

      • Credit cards expire and members inadvertantly lose their plan.

• Set the initial premium payment date within 7 days of the day you sign them up.

      • Members are less likely to deny the charge if/when their bank questions its validity.
